This paper describes how to control the DC motor based on the parameters like temperaturechanges using CAN protocol implementation. This Paper deals with the Control of DC Motor based uponthe temperature changes that occur in a process in Industry. The LM35 series are precision integratedcircuit temperature sensors, whose output voltage is directly proportional to the Celsius (Centigrade)temperature. The Temperature changes are measured by the ADC and transmitted to the other node usingthe CAN Bus and the data is received at the other node based upon the data received the speed of the DCmotor is Regulated using the PWM (pulse width Modulation) Technique. The Controller Area Network(CAN) is a Serial, Asynchronous, Multi-master communication protocol for connecting electronic controlmodules in Automobile and industrial applications. CAN have many features like less cost, Ease ofimplementation, point to point Networking with powerful Error Checking and with High TransmissionRate of 1MBitps.The CAN Network is a Peer to Peer Network consisting of different nodes. Differentparameters can be monitored by these Nodes and can be updated to the Central Control Unit. The CANbus is used in vehicles to connect engine control unit and transmission, or (on a different bus) to connectthe door locks, temperature control, seat adjustments etc.
