Abstract

This paper present the literature review of Total productive maintenance (TPM). which is
a positive approach to solve manufacturing problem, aiming zero defect and hence increase
productivity and quality in manufacturing industries. This paper also explains the overview of TPM
pillars and how it Play an active role in manufacturing system. OEE (Overall Equipment
Effectiveness) is used to identify the improvement or success in TPM.
