Abstract

A smart grid is a system that incorporates a multitude of technological equipments and operational
procedures like smart meter, intelligent control of the transmission and distribution of electricity so as to improve the
operational and technological efficacy of the traditional electricity grid. These technologies are an extension of the
traditional method of electronic control & monitoring. This also offers an information infrastructure to provide
numerous advantages for providers & consumers of electricity.
