Abstract

Injection Moulding is a versatile manufacturing technique for forming of plastics. Present work is focused on
optimizing the process parameters to obtain the better quality for Cam bush. Polymer Matrix Composites were used
tofabricate Cam Bush. Cam bush is used as an indexing device in ON/OFF Load Tap changer device of high voltage
transformer and serves as the connector between the indexing head and the power changing gears. Injection pressure,
Injection Speed, Holding pressure is the input parameters which influence the quality characteristics of Cam Bush such as
Shrinkage,Warpage and Surface Roughness.Cam bushes are produced according to Taguchi’s experimental design(L27) and
the response values are recorded.Thisdata are analysed and optimized by DFA.
