Abstract

Face recognition is used in biometric market for various reasons. Biometric technology plays an important
role for providing the security which is imperative part in today’s challenging world. Human face recognition is a
potential method of biometric authentication. This paper presents a novel technique of face recognition system using
deep neural networks (DNNs), where features of face images are extracted with the help of Local Binary Pattern (LBP).
We propose an effective deep learning framework by stacking multiple output features that learned through each stage of
the deep neural network with block based Local binary pattern. Experiments were conducted using Yale facial image
database and FERET database. High rate of performance was obtained through these proposed technique
