Abstract

As population is increasing day by day in India, numbers of vehicles are also increasing. Because of this
controlling the traffic has become very big issue during emergency situation. In the present project work, Vehicular
Adhoc Network (VANET) technology based traffic controlling system was developed. The Zigbee is used for
communication among the vehicles and Microcontroller is used for controlling action. Here ambulance is considered for
study. The experimental results revealed that an effective traffic problem can be minimized during emergency situation.
This Technology can be applied for police van and fire engine during emergency situation.
