Abstract

In this review article comprehensive investigation of different type of cylinder liner has been represented
along with their future requirement. Heavy traffic on roads and severe working condition forced the development in the
existing material of the cylinder liner. Earlier grey cast iron was used as the primary cylinder liner material but now
days alloys of different material is in use such as Nickel Silver Alloys.
