Smart phones have nowadays become an integral part of our daily life and made our life much simpler. But theexcessive use of smart phones can have adverse effects in our life. It can lead to poor academic performance of students. Theaim of this study was to find out the impact of excessive use of smart phone on academic performance of college goingstudents. Questionnaire was prepared and distributed among 380 random samples selected. Data collected was analyzedusing SPSS software. Correlation and regression analysis were done. A strong negative relationship was found between timespend in front of smart phone andacademic performance which was measured by self reported Cumulative Grade PointAverage (CGPA)of students.
