The purpose of this research is to find the condition of the existing irrigation system and its impact on theagricultural production and cropping intensity of Kohat District. The condition of the existing irrigation system wassurveyed in detail. According to the observation carried out, it was concluded that, the design discharge of the existingoutlets “pipe outlets of non-modular” type is not appropriate, therefore, Open Flume Outlets (OFM) were proposed forthe research area. The existing condition of the canal and distributaries were also studied. The irrigation system wasproposed to be remodeled in order to increase the agricultural productivity.
