Cloud computing has recently emerged as a newparadigm for hosting and delivering services over the Internet. Cloud computing is attractive to business owners as iteliminates the requirement for users to plan ahead forprovisioning, and allows enterprises to start from the smalland increase resources only when there is a rise in servicedemand. However, despite the fact that cloud computingoffers huge opportunities to the IT industry, the developmentof cloud computing technology is currently at its infancy,with many issues still to be addressed. In this paper, wepresent a survey of cloud computing, highlighting its keyconcepts, architectural principles, and state of the artimplementation as well as research challenges. The aim ofthis paper is to provide a better understanding of the designchallenges of cloud computing and identify importantresearch directions in this increasingly important area.
