Mobile ad hoc networks(MANETs) are autonomously self-organizednetworks without infrastructure support. Ina mobile ad hoc network, nodes movearbitrarily; therefore the network mayexperience rapid and unpredictabletopology changes. Because nodes in aMANET normally have limited transmissionranges, some nodes cannot communicatedirectly with each other. Hence, routingpaths in mobile ad hoc networks potentiallycontain multiple hops, and every node inmobile ad hoc networks has theresponsibility to act as a router. This paperaims at the advantages and problems ofMANET with the issue of improving thefuture security.
