Abstract
This paper proposes generalize scenarioof cascading disturbance, types of events, traditionalstability techniques for power system and modern realtime analysis technique with validating relayoperation. The strategies consist of neural networkbased fault detection and classification(NNFDC), eventtree analysis(ETA) and the most efficient wide areamonitoring and analysis protection -control(WARMAP). By proper actions using appropriatetechnique how can we deal with cascading failure isillustrated in this paper.
