In this paper, in control theory, sliding modecontrol, or SMC, is a form of variable structure control (VSC). Itis a nonlinear control method that alters the dynamics of anonlinear system by application of a high-frequency switchingcontrol. The state-feedback control law is not a continuousfunction of time. It switches from one continuous structure toanother based on the current position in the state space. Hence, sliding mode control is a variable structure control method. Themultiple control structures are designed so that trajectoriesalways move toward a switching condition, and so the ultimatetrajectory will not exist entirely within one control structure.Instead, the ultimate trajectory will slide along the boundaries ofthe control structures. The motion of the system as it slides alongthese boundaries is called a sliding mode and the geometricallocus consisting of the boundaries is called the sliding (hyper)surface. Using this law we can control the Satellite’s position inGeostationary Orbit.
