A multilevel modular capacitor clamped dc–dcconverter for bi-directional power flow is presented in this paper. This topology is based on capacitive energy transfer mechanism. It is having with advantages features over conventional dc–dcconverters. In this we have used 5 level MMCCC forbidirectional power flow control having features likebidirectional power flow control, redundancy, reduces voltagestress on switches, high efficiency, reliability, applicable to highpower application, reduced design cost, improved voltageregulation. So it is the modular structure. In this power transferis done through capacitor only and having better componentutilization than other converters. By connecting number ofmodules in cascade pattern power rating of prototype can beincreased. In this paper, topology is designed in which threeoperations are performed like down conversion, up conversionand bidirectional power flow through unidirectional switches.
