Car cruising for vacant parking spaces during heavycrowded scenarios has now emerged as painful challenge towardstraffic congestion and pollution and now has become timeconsuming process. Finding a vacant vehicle parking space isbecoming difficult owing to fact that innovative parking systemhas not gained much popularity especially in developingcountries. Sometimes this also leads to the frustration of driverwhen if some other commuter takes the spot just before driverreaches it. Hence this paper reviews about the smart parkingschemes that help commuters on the way to find vacant parkingspaces using vehicular networks with much ease.
