Digital watermarking is used for copyright protection. Because of increasing use of relational databasesystems in many real-life applications created an ever increasing need for watermarking database systems. As a result,watermarking relational database systems is now merging as a research area that deals with the legal issue of copyrightprotection of database systems. Here, we have discussed the basics of Digital Watermarking and different watermarkingtechniques. We have also discussed the Literature Survey on the work done in the field of the Digital Watermarking. Wehave proposed a new watermarking approach which is based on speech as watermark in which watermark is embeddedat multiple places. Here, we have selected two attributes first is watermark is placed in numeric fields and secondattribute is DATE field in which watermark is placed.
